 Mike Turner, Nashville
Years of speech and hearing therapies helped Mike make it through elementary, middle, and high schools with his typical peers. But when it was time for college, Mike's parents sent him to the National Institute for the Deaf . . . .With the help of a guidance counselor, Mike stuck with the program and developed skills that have helped him compete in the working world. Today he is a highly respected telecommunications analyst for Nashville Gas. Ironically, this individual who is hard of hearing is the man responsible for everyone else's communication needs.
