ADA: Sweet 16
July 26 marks the 16th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the most comprehensive law protecting the civil rights of people with disabilities and the Deaf Community. Join JCIL to celebrate the rights guaranteed to all of us under this ground-breaking legislation, and to take stock of the impact of the ADA on our lives.
Theme: Saving Lives: People with Disabilities in Emergency Planning. Our guest speaker is Nathan Baker with the American Red Cross. Celebrate the 4th again with JCIL and the world's best BAR-B-Q. The program begins at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, July 26 in JCIL's Community Room.
