The centerpiece of the Ron Tate collection was artwork of Casey Jones including a photo of the first engine assigned to him, number 638, taken on the IC tracks in Dyer County. Casey had first seen the 638 at the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago where it was on display as the latest and greatest in technological advancement.

Ron Tate to participate in ARTS TALK at MTSU. The Tennessee Arts Commission and VSA arts Tennessee, in partnership with the National Arts and Disability Center, will present Arts Talk, Tennessee’s Forum for Careers in the Arts for People with Disabilities, on October 6 and 7, at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro.
